Grantham Lions Club

The Lions Clubs are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.  The Grantham Lions Club was established in 1952 and their membership consists of over 50 dedicated and service-minded men from all walks of life.

The Club has supported several initiatives for the St. Catharines general Hospital.  The Annual Daytona Race Party held in February 2007 enabled the members to direct funds for the purchase of 13 televisions, DVD players and stands for the In-Patient Oncology Rooms on Moore 2.  Recently a group of members visited the Foundation Office to present a cheque for $2,000 to purchase a Cataract Stretcher for the Ophthalmology Department located at the OSS Site of the NHS.

Over the years, the efforts of the Grantham Lions Club have raised over $19,000 for the St. Catharines General Hospital.

Thank you for believing in the importance of health care in our community!
