In addition to the current patient care equipment “Wish List”, The St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation is dedicated to several important healthcare initiatives that will provide the highest quality of care for the residents of Niagara.  DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY UNIT
The Digital Mammography Unit is essential in diagnosing breast cancer in women.  This new unit will provide the latest state-of -the-art technology to our healthcare professionals as well as shorten wait times, lessen exam time and improve accuracy.
NEW HEALTHCARE COMPLEX
The healthcare complex, to be built in west St. Catharines, will bring new healthcare programs for cancer treatment, cardiac catheterization and tertiary mental health to Niagara. These services have not existed in Niagara, resulting in thousands of patients and their families having to travel outside the region for healthcare services that should be available closer to home.
