"Scanning the Future” was the name of the Foundation’s 2004 initiative to raise necessary funds for new ultrasound units at the General. The St. Catharines General Hospital needed to raise $600,000 for desperately needed new ultrasound equipment.
The new ultrasound units would provide considerably improved diagnostic detail and image clarity along with increased speed of ultrasound, but most importantly, they would reduce the waiting times for our patients – a top priority of health care providers at the General.
The success of the “Scanning the Future” Campaign allowed the purchase of three new ultrasound units for the Diagnostic Imaging Unit at the St. Catharines General Site.
