The Evangelista/Adams Centre for Breast Screening

The Evangelista/Adams Centre for Breast Screening offers breast screening and assessment services for women 50 years of age and older through the Ontario Breast Screening Program. 


The Centre opening in 1997 and was named the Evangelista/Adams Centre for Breast Screening after the first benefit concert performed by Bryan Adams with the support of Linda Evangelista raised over $250,000.


In 2007, over 7,300 women were screened at the Evangelista/Adams Centre for Breast Screening at the St. Catharines General Hospital Site.


Since opening in 1997, the Centre has successfully screened over 37,000 patients.


In 2008, Bryan Adams returned to the Garden City to help raise funds for the Centre once again.  This time funds raised are being directed toward the new "Full Field Digital Mammography Unit".
